The National Lottery Community Fund appoints new Scotland Committee member

The National Lottery Community Fund today (MONDAY 4 MAY) announces the appointment of Jackie Brock as a member of its Scotland Committee.

Jackie, who is Chief Executive of Children in Scotland, will join the non-executive Scotland Committee of the largest community funder in the UK, taking devolved decisions on National Lottery spending and contributing to its funding strategy and programme development for Scotland.

Jackie said:

“I am honoured to accept the appointment to the Scotland Committee of The National Lottery Community Fund. I have worked with The Fund’s Scotland staff over a number of years and I admire their work and the impact they have had on communities across Scotland. I am looking forward to working with the Committee's hugely talented membership and alongside Scotland's communities, to invest and support them to thrive."

Jackie Brock is Chief Executive of Children in Scotland, the national intermediary charity for the children’s sector, with over 550 members. Prior to her current post, Jackie was depute director for learning and support in the Scottish Government and has also worked in local government. Jackie is a Lay Panel member of the General Teaching Council for Scotland and of the Royal Society of Edinburgh's Education Committee.

Welcoming her appointment, Neil Ritch, Scotland Director of the National Lottery Community Fund, said:

She brings a broad range of knowledge and expertise, including extensive experience of working in communities, to The National Lottery Community Fund in Scotland. Contributing to our strategy, funding programme development and decision making she will help our Scotland Committee to invest National Lottery funding effectively, helping communities across the country to thrive.”

Last year The National Lottery Community Fund gave out over £41 million of National Lottery funding to community projects across Scotland. Over 1,460 projects benefitted from this, enabling people and communities to bring their ideas to life. To find out more visit
